About PURA NEO Pro
PURA NEO Pro is a battery-powered, self-heating portable espresso machine from PURA Coffee. It combines ground-coffee brewing with programmable extraction through Brew OS, bringing water heating and espresso preparation into one portable device.
Espresso without a separate kettle
With a charged battery, NEO Pro can heat drinking water and brew without connecting to a wall outlet during preparation. Its heated brewing mode uses a default temperature of 92°C. A separate no-preheat mode brews using the water’s existing temperature.
PURA lists the following brewing specifications:
- Coffee dose: a typical ground-coffee target of 14–16 g.
- Extraction pressure: manufacturer-stated 6–9 bar at the coffee puck.
- Water input: 50–70 mL, with a maximum fill line of 70 mL.
- Starting extraction profile: five stages, from pre-infusion through extraction and pressure release.
The water-input figures describe how much water goes into the machine, not a guaranteed finished espresso volume.
Brew OS: adjust, save and share recipes
Brew OS connects to NEO Pro over Bluetooth and provides control over extraction settings. The signature five-stage curve is a starting profile; advanced users can program up to eight stages through the app.
Brew Cards save recipe information such as grind size, coffee dose and extraction settings. Saved recipes can be reused or shared with other Brew OS users.
The current photo-to-curve feature also suggests a starting extraction profile from a photograph of coffee beans or their packaging, which users can then fine-tune.
Common questions
Does NEO Pro heat the water itself?
Yes. Built-in heating prepares water for the heated brewing mode, so a separate kettle is not required.
Can it use coffee capsules?
Ground coffee is the primary brewing option. PURA also offers an optional adapter for Nespresso capsules; the capsule adapter is not part of the standard accessory set.
Included accessories
PURA lists a tamper, dosing ring, coffee scoop, USB-C PD cable, storage pouch and guide cards alongside the NEO Pro machine.
Cleaning and care
After brewing, discard the used grounds or capsule. Rinse the removable washable parts and let them dry before reassembly. Wipe the machine body and allow the extraction chamber to dry.
Do not immerse the machine body, place it in a dishwasher or use abrasive cleaners. Keep the device upright during brewing.
